A small Finnish company, built around senior delivery

Registered in Helsinki since 2018. Working with clients across Finland, Sweden, and beyond — remotely, in English.

Smart Kiitös Oy is a Finnish limited company (Y-tunnus 3231458-1), founded in Helsinki in 2018. We take on mobile, web, and full-stack product work — iOS and Android, front end and back — for companies that need senior engineering without hiring a team for it: greenfield builds, complex feature work, AI integration, and architecture rescue.

The company is deliberately small. Every engagement is delivered by a senior engineer who scopes the work, writes the code, and hands it over documented — there is no bench of juniors and no account-management layer to pay for. Our two longest client partnerships have run since 2016 and 2017.

Alongside client work we design, ship, and maintain our own apps on the App Store. They are how we test new frameworks, SDKs, and AI models at our own expense — before any of it reaches a client's codebase.

Lemon Xie founded Smart Kiitös Oy in Helsinki in 2018. He holds an MSc in Software Development from the University of Tampere and a BSc in Software Engineering from Sichuan University, and has been building iOS apps professionally since 2014 — apps used by hundreds of thousands of people, from consumer music software at Zoundio (including a guitar-learning app co-branded with Gibson) to Mooova, an instant transport & bulky-waste service he co-founded that ran in 18 cities across Sweden, Germany, and Spain and was acquired in 2023.

His technical range covers Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Core Data, CloudKit, real-time audio signal processing, and on-device AI with Core ML, alongside LLM integration with the Claude API. He sets the engineering standard for everything the company ships — client work and own products alike.
