Our commitment: Fed? is designed with privacy at its core. Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We don't collect, sell, or share your personal information. We don't run ads. We don't have servers.
What Data Does Fed? Store?
Fed? stores the following information locally on your device:
- Pet profiles — name, species, emoji avatar
- Meal schedules — meal labels and optional scheduled times
- Feeding logs — who fed, when, and which meal
- Medication records — medication name, dosage, frequency, and due dates
- Family member names — display names for people in your household
- Your display name — the name shown when you mark a meal as fed
- App preferences — notification settings, daily reset time
All of this data is created by you and stored on your device.
iCloud Sync
If you use the Family Sharing feature (Pro), your pet and feeding data is synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). This means:
- Data is stored in your personal iCloud account, protected by your Apple ID
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- Only people you explicitly invite via iCloud sharing can see your data
- We (SmartKittos) have zero access to your iCloud data
- If you stop using iCloud sync, your data remains on your device

What We Don't Collect
We collect nothing. Fed? has no servers, no analytics, and no way to access your data.
- No email addresses or phone numbers
- No account registration required
- No location data
- No photos or camera access
- No contacts access
- No browsing or usage analytics
- No advertising identifiers
- No third-party tracking SDKs
Notifications
Fed? uses local notifications (on your device) to remind you about feeding times and medications. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to any server.
Subscriptions & Payments
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). Apple processes all transactions according to their privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
Fed? uses no third-party services. There are no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or social media SDKs in the app.
The only external service used is Apple's CloudKit for optional family sync, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
Fed? does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function — the display name you enter is stored locally and is never transmitted to us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
